More White Rats Flee the Sinking Ship

On May 13th, 2017, UUA moderator and chief governing officer of the Unitarian Universalist Association resigned citing health reasons. [Full story here.]

His resignation letter [here] is short and to the point. His resignation was to take place immediately... there's a lot of that going around these days.

There goes another white rat as he flees the sinking ship known as the Unitarian Universalist Association. There will be more, General Assembly 2017 is only a month away. Watch 'em scurry.

Of course, this brings up questions. We could take things on face value and accept that Jim Key's resignation was based on his health, and health alone. But, where's the fun in that?

Could it be that his resignation is actually health related, and Key's health issues been an indication that stress levels at the Unitarian Universalist Association have reached toxic levels? If this is the case, all sources indicate to Devilhead that the level of toxicity will only increase following General Assembly.

I wrote the above about three weeks ago, and set it aside. Since then, it appears the stress levels were toxic, Jim Key died. [Link here.] If you think my comment upon stress levels was a joke, think again. Stress, of the type that has been going around the Unitarian Universalist Association for the past few months can and will exacerbate pre-existing conditions, including cancer, heart disease, and the like.

I don't see it stopping anytime soon. Hysteria and self-righteousness are fueling this imbroglio. Expect the rage and tensions to increase. And as this is an ideological coup [looking at you Rev. Rob Eller Issacs, looking at you Black Unitarian Universalist Lives Matter, looking at you Diverse Revolutionary Unitarian Universalist Multicultural Ministry] expect nothing less than ideological purity as the end goal.

Care to know what ideological purity does?

Since ideological purity cannot ever be attained, it is a constant, never-ending purge. And it won't stop. Because of the hysterical, self-righteous nature of the beast, self-reflection is anathema.

Expect stress levels to increase, exponentially.

So, another white rat flees the sinking ship of Unitarian Universalism and dies. My guess is that poor Jim Key's name will be raised more than once during this General Assembly, as much to remember him as to manipulate outcomes. [But hey, that's General Assembly.]

Rev. Don Southworth, Unitarian Universalist Ministers Association Executive Director, resigned his position as a result of the fallout of his letter to the Unitarian Universalist Association. [Letter here, but not here anymore.]

We'll look at this in depth in another post as I happen to agree with much of what Rev. Don Southworth has written. It's too bad, he's been backpedaling ever since.

Yet, another white rat flees a sinking ship.

These are the smart ones, just wait until the rest catch up...

  1. I'm still patting myself on the back for publicly suggesting that *Certified* Risk Management consultant James C. Key aka UUA Moderator Jim "See No Evil" Key should follow the example set by UUA President Rev. Dr. Peter "Beyond Belief" Morales, who resigned on April Fools Day 2017, by tendering his resignation as UUA Moderator for his role in the UUA's past and ongoing cover-up and denial of egregious clergy sexual misconduct, indeed what the UUA's Canadian attorney, Stikeman Elliott Barristers & Solicitors litigation and defamation lawyer Maitre Marc-André Coulombe quite aptly described as "such despicable crimes as pedophilia and rape" committed by "certain Unitarian Universalist ministers" in the two arrogant and aggressive cease and desist demand letters he had me served with just over five years ago in June of 2012.

I sent UUA Moderator Jim Key the email which is reproduced in this The Emerson Avenger blog post on Friday April 21st of 2017:

Jim Key resigned as UUA Moderator less than four weeks later, albeit for "health reasons" rather than the reasons that I provided in that "electronic communication". Quite evidently, Jim Key did have serious health problems that justified, and even necessitated, his resignation as UUA Moderator, but in that he pretty much had to resign anyway, he could have and should have responsibly dealt with the "sins of commission" and "sins of omission" was guilty of committing in playing his role in UUA clergy sex abuse cover-up and denial etc., to say nothing of his various other FAILings as UUA Moderator, when he tendered his resignation. Needless to say, Jim Key lacked the personal integrity required to accept personal responsibility for his role in UUA cover-up and denial of UU clergy sex abuse, which includes but is by no means limited to the sexual molestation, and even forcible rape, of minors aka children by "certain Unitarian Universalist ministers". Sadly, former UUA Moderator James C. Key went to his grave without ever confessing to his "sins of commission" and "sins of omission" which include, but are by no means limited to. . . FAILing, and effectively refusing, to hold UUA President Peter Morales (or any other implicated U*U clergy and UUA leaders) responsible for the Rev. Dr. Peter "Beyond Belief" Morales led UUA's immoral, UNethical, borderline criminal, and indeed #BatShitCrazy attempted misuse of Canada's soon to be repealed blasphemy law in UUA clergy sex abuse cover-up legal bullying, and brazenly lying about UU clergy sexual misconduct in general, and child sex abuse committed by UUA ministers in particular, in the utterly worthless "official apology" to victims of UU clergy sexual misconduct that *Certified* Risk Management consultant Jim Key inappropriately sandwiched into the middle of his first Moderator's Report to a General Assembly of the UUA in late June of 2014.

    See: http://www.uua.org/ga/past/2014/business/iii/296122.shtml

  2. And yes, I agree with your point regarding how stress levels "can and will exacerbate pre-existing conditions, including cancer, heart disease, and the like". It seems that former UUA Moderator Jim "See No Evil" Key's Risk Management skills on the personal health care front were no better than his Risk Management skills on the UUA clergy sex abuse cover-up and denial front. . . I have a feeling that Jim Key won't be resting in peace as it were.

For those U*Us who may as yet be blissfully unaware of the disingenuous and mendacious "weasel words", and even brazen #BaldFacedLies. . . that UUA Moderator Jim Key told U*Us about U*U clergy sexual misconduct matters* in his "sorry excuse for an apology" to victims of U*U clergy sex abuse, they are very thoroughly exposed in this The Emerson Avenger blog post:

    Hasta La Vista Jim Key.

    * It depends upon what the meaning of the word "matters" is. . .
